The architecture of the old city centre shows perfectly the power and surviving of traditions, winking at Oriental arts: narrow labyrinths of streets overlooked by arcs, the houses leaning against each other and the external stairs which opens on hidden courtyards. Every house is painted white, the predominant color of the town.
